A6. Exciting Techniques for Calligraphers -- Supplies
NEED TO BRING: Basic Tool Kit; nibs, Speedball C2 and C3 are
useful sizes; ink: if you have any colored acrylic inks such as Magic
Color or Rotring [no longer being made, but you may have some
old stock], please bring them; a few sheets of cheap tracing paper;
a half sheet each (or more) of any good quality 90# cold press and
rough watercolor paper (Arches or Waterford are good brands
and these can be cut into quarters for easy carrying); a couple of
sheets of black Canson Mi-Teintes (8 ½ '' x 11'' or larger); a couple
(or more) small portable light boxes for the class to share would
be useful.
MATERIALS FEE: $3 [for gold leaf, etc.].

Speedball
American nibs. C-0, C-1, C-2, C-3, C-4, C-5, C-6. C-0 is largest, C-6 is smallest. Best in larger sizes. C-2, C-3, & C-4 are popular for beginners’ classes.
