Gillott #303, Hiro #41, Nikko "G," Leonardt EF Principal or your
favorite pointed nib); oblique pen holder; McCaffery's ink; layout or
grid paper (with 1/8" squares); 1-2 sheets of quality art paper (e.g.,
Arches HP, Canson Mi-Teintes, Diploma Parchment); at least one
sheet of black or dark colored paper of your choice; protractor
or adjustable triangle; gouache (white or Dr. Martin's Bleedproof
White, black and 3–4 colors of your choice).

The first 21 pages by E.A. Lupfer provide some of the best copperplate instruction available.He is a master of the hand.
Other engrossing alphabets are shown as well as many examples of engrossed pieces. Revised & reissued at intervals since it was first published as Zanerian Alphabets in 1895. Now printed on 80# gloss paper.

alphabets, off hand flourishing, engrossing and diplomas. A great reprint. A highly recommended manual.

Kecseg has taken five pointed pen alphabets and produced a broadside of each. Each has a full lower case alphabet and a quotation and is reproduced on a tan or white sheet with gold and silver flecks and white silk threads. These sheets of varying size are held in a paper folder. See Calligraphy Review Spring 1993 Annual, pages 43-44, for a color reproduction. It is a beautiful presentation. There is no instruction.
