B17. Improv Studio-- Supplies
NEED TO BRING: Basic Tool Kit; Paper: Arches Text Wove, 2–3 sheets (24"x40"); Arches black cover, one sheet (22"x30"); watercolor paper 90#, one sheet (inexpensive okay). Brushes: pointed for writing and flat; synthetic mixing and work brushes; inexpensive flat oriental wash brush. Media: zinc white gouache or Chinese white watercolor; Dr. Martin's Bleed Proof White or Pro White; erasers to carve; containers to store mixed colors (e.g., film canisters, jars w/ lids); white glue (PVA or Elmer's School Glue).

OPTIONAL: Unusual tools; ruling pens; stamps; gel pens; markers; gold leaf, Instacol (PVA will do); chalk pastels; colored pencils and untested supplies or tools; collage papers: scraps, old pieces of lettering, napkins (thin papers work best, such as white tissue or thin sumi papers); colored papers (at least 8" wide).

MATERIALS FEE: $10 [includes sumi ink; gesso; dyes; Plaka; frisket; bleach; chalk pastels to be shared by the class].
