Supplies for both classes:
Basic Tool Kit; glassine paper (18"x24"); HB and 2H pencils; gouaches: permanent white, primary yellow, primary blue or ultramarine; gum arabic; gold size (Jerry Tresser's is good); brushes: smaller rounds for painting and applying size (000, 00, 1); a larger, soft brush for gold; burnisher; magnifier. OPTIONAL: Gold transfer leaf. Instructor will have a variety for purchase.

NEED TO BRING: Basic supply kit listed above; ruling pen; black Pigma markers (005 and 05); one sheet good HP paper (140# Fabriano Artistico or Arches, 22"x30" may cut in half); additional gouaches: jet black, primary red.

C1. A Passage on Parchment -- Supplies

NEED TO BRING: Basic supply kit listed above; gum arabic; dust mask. MATERIALS FEE: Kit for each student will include: sanding block; sandpaper in various grades; pounce; gum sandarac; swatch of silk; piece of mat board; piece of parchment and a few off cuts. Cost for the kit will be nominal and contingent on the number of students in the class.
