B22. A Touch of Silk "Silk Painting" -- Supplies
NEED TO BRING: Apron; rubber gloves; hair dryer; paper towels,
clean palette with deeper reservoirs (if possible, or very small
plastic cups); eye droppers or pipettes; stainless steel push ins or
silk pins; several water containers; favorite watercolor brushes
(large #12 and smaller #6) or sumi brushes and/or foam brushes;
clear plastic package tape (to cover the stretchers); old foam core
board 12" x 12" (to stretch small silks).
HELPFUL TO HAVE: Local
folks please bring irons and extension cords to share.
MATERIAL FEE: $30 [includes silks, dyes, resist, applicators with tips,
and stretchers].

Pipets
These pipets function like eye droppers. Use them to store mixed gouache for later use. (As when a customer is expected to ask for more envelopes done in a mixed color a few days after you completed the first batch.) For airtight, longer storage, the end can be sealed quickly with an iron. Soft plastic (polyethylene), 6" long. Cut the end to use.
