If you have enjoyed Sara Midda's In & Out of the Garden, you will like this book. It is full of watercolors of flowers, herbs and vegetables. It is a beautifully illustrated garden journal that follows the year from peonies and blooming bulbs in the spring to pears and planting bulbs in the fall. The text is hand written in a casual, mono-line, italic-based script. Her notes on the garden are coupled with quotes from famous gardeners.
This beautiful book is a natural as a gift book, but also a good resource for watercolor flowers. The copies at Odyssey last summer quickly sold out.
