Jean has produced the wall calendar this year instead of an engagement calendar. For her engagement calendar for 2007 and 2008 see CL2307, CL2308 ($3.99) as long as stock lasts. There is no Jean Formo engagement calendar for 2009.

Jean has provided 56 full color calligraphic compositions. hese spiritual reflections are taken from the Bible, spiritual writers and folk wisdom. Each piece reproduced is done by hand with nibs, colored pencils, ink and paint (without any computer help!). This is Jean’s third engagement (desk) calendar. This one is perhaps more strongly Christian than previous years.

The Lindisfarne Gospels is one of the great masterpieces of early medieval book illumination. Produced in the early 8th century at Lindesfarne, an island monastic community near the coast of Northumberland (NE coast of what is today England). 12 richly colorful pages from this magnificient manuscript are reproduced including ones with incredible knotwork designs.
