Supplies
Tools: 3/8" Wide brush; old watercolor brushes for mixing; one good size 0 or 00 brush for detail work.
Ink/Paint: Gouache: One tube of each of the following colors – any brand: Two reds: warm orangey red (Ex. Scarlet); purplish-red (Ex. Permanent Red or Magenta); NOT Primary or Spectrum Red; Two blues: cool greenish blue (Ex. Turner or Pebeo's Cyan; or Peacock Blue); purplish-blue (Ex. Ultramarine); NOT Primary or Spectrum Blue; One mid-yellow: Primary or Spectrum Yellow OK; Black: Ivory Black; White: Zinc (Chinese) White.
Paper: Variety of 8.5x11" paper to experiment including tinted or colored papers.
Misc..: Two water pots; palettes with many hollows.
Optional: Ground sandarac (if you have it).
Materials Fee: $25 Includes Sheil Waters color chart exercises including binder; watercolor papers; vellum; use of acrylic grounds; gold leaf and Mylar; and additional tools/materials.

Gum Sandarac

Used on vellum and paper just before writing to achieve fine hairlines. Tie up in a small square of cotton cloth, and lightly pounce onto your paper to produce finer thins.Will help produce crisper letters. May stop bleeding, feathering.
