Pens/Pencils: Graphite drawing pencils (S142): HB, 2B, bring others if you have them: 2H, 4B, 6B, etc. brand doesn't matter; woodless graphite pencils: HB, 2B, (there are many good brands, my favorite woodless brand: Pentalic Graphite, available Paper & Ink Arts); colored pencils (S524, S525, S526): artist quality – Prismacolor (set of 12 or more OR minimum 1 of each: blue, red & yellow – suggested Prisma¬color colors - True Blue #903, Process Red #994, Lemon Yellow #915); nibs & holder: Speedball "C" (N09) or "B" (N16) smaller size i.e., C-3 or C-4, or Brause, whatever you have or are your favorite nibs; flexible pointed nib & holder (only if you have), not too sharp, Brause Steno Pen No. 361(N90) is nice. Ink: Hig¬gins Eternal (I09), walnut (I53) or your favorite. Paper: Sketchbook, spiral bound, 11 x 14" (paper with a little tooth is nice); drawing pad 11 x 14" Strathmore Series 400 (P100); surface regular (not smooth). Misc: Pencil sharpener (S633)hand held or battery operated, Pentel Click Eraser (E06), Staedtler Mars Plastic white rectangular eraser (E13), ruler about 12" (S270) 30.48cm in length – any ruler will do, but my favorite all-purpose rulers are those C-Thru (S725) clear plastic rulers. They have red marks every 1/8" and some have a bevel on one edge for inking – inex¬pensive. Sharpie permanent marker (regular tip is great, fine tip works, too – whatever you have). X-acto knife (S621, S662); Small water container (S731) & paper towels or pen rag. Optional: Desk lamp (portable swing arm or goose neck) and extension cord (extremely helpful), Pigma Micron (M17) marker(s), folded ruling pen (N30) & holder and/or other ruling pens you have, stylus or embossing tool (S478), small cutting mat (S504) can use back of drawing pad, Mechanical pencil (S681) .5mm HB or B doesn't need a sharpener; Pan pastels with applicator, a few colors – please don't go out and buy these just for this… only if you have already.
