FLORALS:
Papers: Graph pad 11x17 (P21); inexpensive smooth layout pad (P10, P11) or drawing pad (not newsprint); (optional) a variety of watercolor paper hot or cold press for use with watercolors (PS42, PS47); 1 sheet of Arches Black Cover stock (PS90); 5 sheets Stonehenge (PS95). We will need the 5 sheets of Stonehenge. Others are optional but bring whatever nice watercolor paper that you like best.
Pens/Pencils/Brushes: ½ inch Automatic pen (N27); ¼ inch Automatic pen (N27) optional; pencil; cheap mixing brushes (BR37); wedged clay shaper (1/2 inch). I'll bring these to share; cheap foam brush 1 inch.
Ink/ Paint: Higgins Eternal black (I08); watercolors (WNxxx) (transparent…several colors); several tubes of acrylic (keep in mind we are doing flowers.)
Misc: Spray bottle/larger size; acrylic gloss medium (I90) liquid not gel; mixing palette (S679, S723); water containers (S731); 1 larger for acrylics like a yogurt container; paper towels; bring short quotation about nature and flower references (magazines, photos, field guides etc…or the real thing!); news¬paper for drying; household sponge.
POINTED PEN:
Pens: Oblique penholder (H48, H50, H51, H52, H60, H61); pointed pen nibs such as Nikko G (N113) or Leonardt Principal (N120) (both of these need a holder that will accommodate their larger size); Hunt 22 (N93) or 56 (N86), or Gillott 303 (N72) or 404 (N74).
Ink: Moon Palace (I70) or McCaffrey's Penman's Ink (I37); black and favorite colors of gouache (WNGxxx).
Paper: When combining penwork with watercolor, hot press watercol¬or paper (PS42, PS47) is recommended, several sheets. Stonehenge also works (PS95). Marker layout pad for practice, such as Canson Pro Marker (P32-9) or Boris (P10), no larger than 10 x 14".

***Due to the poor condition of these books we now sell them in a three ring binder. We have cut off the binding and drilled holes in the pages without losing any of the lettering. If you prefer a copy still in the original binding we can send you a copy, but the binding will likely fail.
