Sheila Waters Book Recommendations
Pen/Pencils: Straight barrel penholders; a variety of nib widths in Speedball C1 and 2 (N09), Mitchell (N04), Brause (N02) and/or Tape (N01) etc.; hard and soft pencils (S142) and sharpener.
Ink: Non-waterproof black ink (I08, I70); black gouache (WNG331, WNG335, WNG337) or stick ink (IS29) and stone (IS19).
Paper: Your favorite practice paper and ink that avoid bleeding or feather¬ing such as layout paper (P10, P11, P12); a few pieces of favorite "good" papers; tracing paper (P43).
Misc: Lap board or desk (S690); ruler (S270, S271) or T square (S623, S692); masking tape; eraser (E09); san¬darac (S123); eyebrow tweezers and magnifying glass; a binder and sleeves for up to 100 exemplars (50 sleeves). This will make a permanent reference book of detachable exemplars, fully protected.

Used to erase pencil (graphite). Cherryl Moote suggested it for removing the white lines fom a white lead mechanical pencil.

Gum Sandarac
1oz.
Used on vellum and paper just before writing to achieve fine hairlines. Tie up in a small square of cotton cloth, and lightly pounce onto your paper to produce finer thins.Will help produce crisper letters. May stop bleeding, feathering.
