CALL FOR ENTRIES: LETTER ARTS REVIEW -- SECOND CALLIGRAPHIC CARD ISSUE This is a call for calligraphic greeting cards. Calligraphy or hand lettering must be a major element of the card.Cards can be handmade or printed, created for yourself or for individual or business clients. The card can be a simple, single-folded sheet, or it can have innovative folds or pop-ups. Cards that were sent digitally (and never printed) are acceptable. You may also submit only the calligraphy/ lettering, rather than the entire card. Cards do not have to be in English. Please provide a translation in English for cards in other languages. Cards created after 2006 are encouraged, but earlier cards will be considered.Send the original card, photo(s) of the card, or a high quality printout of the digital file (entire card or just the calligraphy used for the card). You may send hi-res digital files on a disk, but you must include printouts for the card to be considered. (If the original card is not sent, you should be prepared to submit high quality digital files if your card is chosen to be included.) Do NOT send items that have to be returned. Send a scan, photo, or printout of the card instead. Limit 5 cards per person. There is no entry fee. A comp copy of the issue will be mailed to each calligrapher/lettering artist whose card is accepted for publication. All cards will be reproduced in full color. The selection for the magazine will be made by Pat Blair, Michael Clark and Rose Folsom. Include your name, mailing address and email (if any) with your submission. Provide the client name if appropriate. No entry form is necessary. Cards for weddings, civil unions, wedding anniversaries, and new babies will not be considered for this issue.
