S695. QuikNip Book Press
QuikNip Book Press

Our largest book press has a workspace of 11.5" x 16" between the posts. The dimensions were chosen to allow for casing in, pressing signatures before sewing, and pressing the books after gluing up the spine. The press is ideal for studio work as well as for the serious home binder. It is made from Baltic birch, hand crafted, fully assembled and maintenance free. Its elegant design was developed in consultation with Peter Verheyen. He is a professional bookbinder and conservator in Syracuse, NY. The press is shipped with a working daylight of four inches. It comes with two post extensions that allow you to easily increase the arch height. Made in USA. Retail $449.00.

"I have finally put the book press together and am thoroughly enjoying using the real thing instead of my old improvised set up."
-- Virginia P, Australia

(This book press had to be partly disassembled for shipping overseas. This book press is delivered fully assembled in its basic form to customers in the USA. To use the extensions, you will have to partly disassemble the press. Instructions are included.)
