When you tear paper instead of cutting it you get a softer edge, but you don’t get the irregularities of the deckle edge of a handmade sheet. However, by tearing your paper
against the deckle edge of these rulers you get a deckle edge on your paper. Steel with millimeter and 1/16" guides.
