FP125. Noodler's Ahab Flex Pen Noodler’s Ahab Flex Pen. This flexible nib fountain pen produces reasonable thicks and thins from pressure. Use it for larger writing and expressive handwriting. It is not suitable for smaller Ornamental Scripts because the nib can't produce the fine hairlines possible with dip pen pointed nibs. For a slimmer barrel, purchase FP120. Noodler’s Standard Flex Pen. The same flex nib is used in the Standard and Ahab Fountain Pens.

King Philip Purple
For filling the pen with ink from a bottle, the Ahab Flex pen has a plunger mechanism that you access by screwing off the barrel. .
This is a fun pen to write with and has an extremely flexible nib - for a fountain pen. You can easily go from thin to thick and back, but the unstressed stroke is far from a hairline. (An extremely light touch and some speed can produce a thinner line.) IThe pen is useless for small copperplate scripts. You can produce copperplate scripts only in larger sizes. You can only produce monoline or nearly monoline writing in smaller sizes. It has potential for wedding invitation addressing where the script is more-or-less monoline perhaps with some more heavily stressed strokes (such as Spencerian). - John

The darkening medium is not an ink but an additive to be used to darken the original ink without losing the unique watercolor characteristics or the ability to lift color or lighten areas.
The darkening Medium is very heavily pigmented. It can also be used straight from the bottle. However, it is so heavily pigmented that it will behave like a sumi ink and stain the paper and not lift as easily as the original.
Clear, diamond-like Swarovski crystal sparkles with extraordinary brilliance. Its unique sparkle and shine give each design an unforgettable appearance. Each piece contains 12 facets with a foil backing.
The rhinestones can be set with a fine-point glue pen, scrapbooking glue dots, or with any thick craft glue.
