Bone Alphabet Calligraphy


Explore pen twists, rotations, pivots and slides. Bone is a great hand for designers, calligraphers and letter lovers. Bone is organic, fun, warm, and assertive; it is essentially drawing with shape.

Materials to Bring:
Your favorite large sized broad edged pens (Speedball C-0, C-1, C-2, or Brause 5mm or 6mm) (N02, N09) and Sumi ink (I70, I43) OR Pilot Parallel Pen (6mm) (FP67) with your choice of ink. Strathmore 400 drawing paper pad or similar (P100-11), OR Cotton Comp Layout (P39) OR a similar paper good for your ink. Usual drawing kit: small palette (S679), water container (S731, S784), #2 pencil, eraser (E13), blade (S417), ruler (S270, S271), rags, etc. If you like to work in color bring walnut ink (I53-2.5) (S449) or gouache (WNG). Chopsticks (the kind with bevel end) or other flat items such as popsicle sticks, small pieces of illustration board, etc. 1/2 inch sable or sablette brush (BR24) if you have one. (such as W&N series 995 (BR01) or Utrecht) Any wide Automatic pens (N27) or Coit pens.
