Calligraphy Fair in L.A.

Calligraphy Fair @ Smitten on Paper

Smitten on Paper along with Priscilla (@yourstrulycalligraphy), Nina (@anintran), and Grace (@bygraceabounds) are hosting the first annual calligraphy fair on May 6-7 from 10:00AM - 4:00pm at 114 E Lemon Ave, Monrovia, California.
This 2 day event will include live demos from some of your favorite calligraphers and artist, a study room, and a marketplace to purchase specialty items from JNB and Twig & Fig, to name a few.

S1008. Bots Stainless Steel Travel Inkwell
S1008. Bots Stainless Steel Travel Inkwell

This cute little container is made for carrying small amounts of liquid in your lunchbox, but it also works great as a traveling "inkwell." LunchBot brand is recognized for quality materials that work well. The inkwell is about 2" wide and 1.5" tall, made of stainless steel. The leak-proof seal consists of a twist top with a silicone seal. We tested a sealed container filled with ink resting on its side for a week, and there was no leaking.

P87. JNB Deluxe Lined Black Paper
P87. JNB Deluxe Lined Black Paper

A very smooth, black paper that accepts ink well and is great for pointed pen work. Instead of solid lines, black dots are used to create subtle lining that can be seen close-up when writing but that is not easily visible at a distance. Solid printed lines can sometimes create noticeable "lines" in your lettering where the printed line has repelled the ink; using dots minimizes this problem. 80lb. text /120gsm. 9"x12" pad.
