B16. Color in Practice -- Not Just in Theory

B16. Color In Practice – Not Just In Theory -- Book List

No Recommended Books

by Sheila Waters
B1012. Under Milk Wood. $90.00.

B16. Color—In Practice, Not Just Theory-- Supplies
NEED TO BRING: Basic Tool Kit; 3/8" wide flat brush; palettes with many hollows; two water pots; and other papers, tools, and materials with which you wish to experiment.

TUBES OF GOUACHE: Black (avoid jet black as it dries up quickly); Chinese (zinc) white; Two reds: bluish-red such as permanent rose, quinacridone magenta, or permanent alizarin crimson; and "orangey-red" such as flame, scarlet or vermilion; Two blues: purplish-blue such as ultramarine; and greenish-blue, such as cyan, phthalo blue, or cerulean. Two yellows: greenish-yellow such as lemon or cadmium light; orangey-yellow such as golden yellow, gamboges, or cadmium medium (if not available, bring spectrum or primary yellow). Note: although primary yellow is okay, primary or spectrum red and blue will NOT work in this system. Contrary to belief, we will make "primaries." Additional colors you bring will only be used for the purpose of seeing where they fit.

MATERIALS FEE: $20 [includes twelve color prints of instructor's color charts and explanatory sheets; ten 8 ½ "x11" sheets of watercolor paper; one leaf of instructor's "patent" gold and adhesive; use of instructor tools and materials].
