Sheila notes that the author repeats himself a lot, but he does explain the concepts effectively. An important book.
When she teaches Writing and Illuminating on Vellum, Sheila recommends this book. This book is NOT for Sheila's classes at Silent Words.
B004. Calligrapher's Handbook edited by Heather Child. Paper $35.00. This book is a must for every serious calligrapher's library especially for working with vellum, quills, and illumination. The book is out of print in the USA , but we have a few new (but shelfworn) copies. There are several books with this title, but the one you want has a blue cover and has only been available in paperback - John
