• FW Acrylic Ink (I13), a couple colors
• a substitute for this is Liquetex acrylic inks(I101)
•Your favorite edged pens and holders (N02, N04, H62, H38), parallel pens are fine too (FP67)
•Other types of fabric paints you may have on hand, Jacquard, Lumiere (I113), or Dye Na Flow
• Large brushes for smearing on paint-old ones are good
•A flat brush (BR24) and a pointed brush-not real expensive (BR38)
• Fine point black sharpie and a couple gel pens if you have them
• Purple disappearing ink pen for fabric (S668)
• Scissors (S835), Ruler (S270, S271), Pins, Paper Towels (S817), Apron
• Cheap Plastic tablecloth
• A couple water containers (S784, S276)
• pipettes or eye Dropper (S141)
• 2-small 6-well plastic palettes (S679)
• Some black and white and color copies of photos you might want to include in your work (toner and inkjet)
Fabric I Like DRILL CLOTH (Utility cloth) from Joanns, $5.99 a yard, a couple yards or more found near the canvas section (any smooth cotton canvas would work too). I will have some in your kit and some for sale
• One yard of 100 % cotton muslin
• Freezer paper
•Old book pages
• nostalgic items
• rubber stamps
• a needle and thread to embellish your work
• Some fabric scraps
• interesting paper scraps
• old books.
Also, bring a sense of openness and a loosely composed list of what you'd like to have happen to you artistically in the future! I will also have special pens for fabric for sale in class. If you are driving, we could use the following: iron • press cloth • portable sewing machine with filled bobbins and thread.
