Calligraphy: Classical to Contemporary

This is an 8 week class beginning Monday, Sep. 14, 6:00-7:30

As a calligrapher with 30 years of experience, Karen Nordstrom Roberts has taught both pointed pen and broad-edge calligraphy classes to hundreds of students over the last 10 years. She specializes in getting new calligraphers started - even if they tried calligraphy before - by focusing on the fundamentals and writer-friendly supplies in the beginning classes. She loves when students have those “aha” moments and find the bounce in their lettering.

One of her most popular classes is Calligraphy: Classical to Contemporary. Students learn the traditional copperplate style then learn how to make variations to customize their own contemporary style. The class includes a digital 30-page packet with exemplars and worksheets to download and print to follow along during the class.
