Intro to Italic Calligraphy

Six Tuesdays, October 12 - November 16

6:30 to 8:30 ET via Zoom

Join instructor Karen Nordstrom Roberts in a six-week Intro to Italic Calligraphy class this fall. The class will cover the underlying forms that, when combined on paper with ink and a metal broad-edge “dip pen,” create this beautiful, modernized lettering style from 16th century Italy. This class is appropriate for students who are new to calligraphy, new to broad-edge styles, and/or would like a refresher. Topics include: selection and use of supplies, nibs and ink, lowercase, capitals, numbers, punctuation, spacing, and project layout.

Class fee: $140 and $120 for Calligraphy Guild of Pittsburgh members

CGP member coupon code: CGPmemberdiscount

The class is presented live with recordings available for 3 months
