In this fun, light hearted class we will create a beautiful flowering garden out of your pointed pen script. We will cover basic flourishing, floral watercolor painting and tips and tricks on how to mail these envelopes successfully. This is a companion class to Flourishing Text Workshop.

Supply List:

  1. Watercolor paper/pad for practice, hot press (smooth). For mailing, Paper Source ( Luxe envelopes, in either Blush, Cream or White, in size A7 or larger.  (PA110) (PS42)
  2. Stamps, if you do decide to mail the envelopes.
  3. Your favorite pointed/broad pen nibs and penholders. Walnut ink if you have some. (I145)
  4. Watercolor palette, preferably in pan form, not tubes. You can use whatever you have, but please have a variety of colors especially red and greens. Suggested: Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolor set, Prang, Peerless watercolor booklet etc. (S609) (S1032)
  5. Assorted round watercolor brushes, some tiny painting ones and some medium ones. (BR26)
  6. Paper towels, TWO water containers, light pencil and eraser. (S817) (S784) (S142)(E22)
  7. Gold or any other metallic paint that'll work with your pointed nib (eg: Finetec, Dr. PH Martin etc.) (S1000) (I27) (I38)
    Optional: Glitter glue or pens, white paint (Dr. PH Martin's Bleed Proof White), or other decorative arts and crafts things such as stick on crystals or pearls etc.
  8. Optional: Pictures of your favorite flowers and plants, quotes and addresses to write. You can prepare some addressing layouts ahead of time if you need to plan your flourishing, so you can just focus on the painting in class.
