Botanicals in Watercolor

Thursdays: Sept 17, Sept 24, Oct 1

  1. Paper
    • Fabriano or Arches 140 lbs Hot pressed (PS47)
    • 10” x 14” block or 2 sheets of paper cut into size

You will need a drawing board and masking tape to support your cut paper (S690)

    • Any spiral bound sketch pad 11” x 14” (P108)
    • Tracing paper pad A4. (P43)
  1. Brushes
    • Sable #0, 1, 4, 6 & 8 or closer sizes (BR38)

Make sure that the brushes form a good point and spring back to shape when wet

  1. Paints

Recommended 'professional' or 'artist' grade paints from Winsor & Newton, Holbein, Da Vinci, Rembrandt, American Artist etc.


  • New Gamboge, Winsor Lemon, Ultramarine Blue, Cerulean Blue, Permanent Rose, Winsor Red, Burnt Sienna, Payne’s Gray, Veridian Green

Optional Colors:

  • Alizarin Crimson, Winsor Blue, Cobalt Blue, Burnt Umber
  1. Palette - With wells and a large mixing area (S747)
  1. Two small containers for water (S784)
  2. Small water spray bottle (S836)
  3. Graphite Pencils 2B (PL31)
  4. Soft white Eraser (E29)
  5. Paper towel (S817)
