Journaling in Watercolor

Thursdays: Dec 1, Dec 8, Dec 15

  1. Pens
    • Permanent Pens – Pigma Micron .03 & .05, Black (M17)
  2. Journal / Paper
    • 5” x 8.5” vertical blank journal with watercolor or mixed media paper

Try to avoid spiral binding and handmade paper. My personal favorite is Stillman & Birn (Beta or Delta Series) (PA112)

    • Any drawing/sketch pad or whatever you have for rough sketches (P108)
  1. Brushes
    • Sable or Synthetic blend #1, 3, 5 & 8 or closer sizes, Round pointed (BR26) (BR30)

Make sure that the round brushes form a good point and spring back to shape when wet

  1. Paints
    • Any good quality watercolors

Suggested brand: Winsor & Newton’s Watercolor pan set

  3. Graphite pencil (PL31)
  4. Soft white eraser (E29)
