Q: Does the lid of this plastic case form a palette like the lid of the metal case?

  A: The lid of the plastic box/case has divisions that form shallow mixing areas. You can see the divisions in the image. The dividers are only raised slightly. The S1016 Coliro Empty Box (Metal) lids have deeper mixing areas.
