NARROW-CUT QUILL
These are cut to about .040” wide at the nib, which is an average width for a QUILL and approximately the width of the pen used to write the tenth-century Ramsey Psalter. A page from the Ramsey Psalter is below.

WIDE-CUT QUILL
These are cut to the maximum nib-width attainable for each individual feather, and so they vary in width from pen to pen: 1/16” to 3/32” wide, generally.
