The works are from Fellows of the Society of Scribes and Illuminators, along with a juried selection of pieces by lay members. A total of 52 scribes are represented. Some pieces are pure lettering, black on white. Others are filled with color. There are books and carved slate and other three-dimensional works along with the many works on paper, cloth, and vellum. The range of styles is wide, though in all legibility is a primary focus. The SSI celebrated its 95th year with this exhibit. This catalog is an issue of The Scribe.
