Description

A flat-edged brush can be a magic tool in your art box. It’s a wonderful tool for brush lettering, but other uses Connie loves include painting, whether it’s watercolour, ink, or acrylic, floral, landscape, or abstract. It does it all!

During this two-day session, Connie will demonstrate some simple florals in watercolour along with simple “essence” landscapes. The second day will see how students can transition to expressive abstract strokes for calligraphic backgrounds in broadsides, books, or any other project these marks might lend themselves to.  Students need not worry that they “can’t draw” or feel fearful about painting. Leave that fear at the door and step into experimenting with the brush to discover your own unique “mark”.
