Description

Get ready for a day filled with creative fun as we whip up beautiful, luscious paste papers! We’ll be using Japanese Jin Shofu wheat paste, Golden Acrylics, Arches Text Wove and Crane Lettra Papers, along with various mark-making tools and brushes, all included in the event fee.
 
Debra will show you some tips, tricks and techniques using oil pastels, rubber stamps, chalk pastels, ruling and bamboo pens to create colorful and exotic decorative sheets that will be perfect for your craft and art projects for years to come.
 
We’ll also dive into the boustrophedon method, a technique where you use a brush to create papers similar to those made by the artist Madeleine Durham (Santa Fe, NM), which are simply irresistible works of art.
 
You’ll be wondering, “Now, how did she do that?” And of course, we’ll share ideas on how to make cool objects from our beautiful papers and other creative ways to use them.
