Description

P01. JNB Graph Pad with Slant Lines for Copperplate. 24lb bond. 8.5" x 11" or 11" x 17". Approx. 50 sheets. Slant lines - 55-degree angle Smooth paper for pointed pen.

The paper takes the ink well and does not bleed or feather with most inks. We test with Higgins Eternal, Noodler's, McCaffery's, and Walnut ink. The smooth surface helps avoid pen catches on upstrokes. Approx. 50 sheets with a blue grid and slanted lines for copperplate, 8 squares/inch. Grid may show up with some copiers. This pad takes the place of copperplate guidelines. This paper is available in Blank Pads (see items P20 and P25).

    My new favorite

Posted by JeanAnn on Mar 29th 2023

I haven’t wanted to practice on anything else since I received these pads. One thousand percent I’ll be buying more when I can. The paper is a nice weight, it’s pretty smooth; the guidelines are easy to adjust to whatever ratio you want to write in; and I love that the guidelines don’t show up when you put it through the scanner. I also feel like consistently using this pad has contributed to my improvement in accuracy in my writing. Just awesome all around!!

    Best paper for Copperplate

I've had no issues since using this paper with my Copperplate practice. None of my inks bleed through and my nibs write with ease.

    Favorite Practice Paper

Posted by Amy on Feb 5th 2021

I am self-taught by online websites and such so I've tried almost all paper recommendations I've run across and this paper is by far my favorite to use for practice! I don't notice pooling or bleeding as with other papers I've tried and the grid really helps me work on letter placement and consistent sizing.

    Great Pad for Practice

Very happy with this pad, which took Walnut Richtone Sepia ink very well and didn't bleed at all. Appreciate using a pre-lined pad, which saves the tedious work of drawing one's own.

    Great paper

I tried this paper years ago and had issues with bleeding. Recently at a class the teacher had a pad of this paper and I tried it again and I was thrilled that it was just as smooth as before but this time no bleeding at all!I ordered a pad and have been using it non-stop and am in love, it is my new favorite practice paper.

    Love this paper

I use Sumi and Ziller inks with this and have no issues. I like the lines for practicing and for lining up with envelopes. It is very smooth. I REALLY love this paper.

    Ink bleeds

Posted by Jodi on Jun 19th 2014

The paper is smooth and lovely to write on, and the guidelines are very helpful. But Moon Palace Sumi ink bleeds right through, as does Higgins Eternal. Higgins also feathers like mad. I bought this pad to do Copperplate drills on. Alas. It will not work for that.
