If you’ve ever skipped a two-page spread painting because the binding wouldn’t cooperate, this sketchbook is worth a look! Luchetti’s True-Flat binding lets the book open completely flat without a gutter, turning two 8” square pages into one continuous 16” x 8” surface. There’s no stitching and no gutter to work around, only a fine fold down the middle.

Each page is a substantial 600gsm (300lb) of 100% cotton paper, made from two 300gsm sheets bonded together. That heft means it can take generous layers of watercolor, gouache, acrylic, and mixed media with little buckling and no bleed-through, so both sides of every sheet are fair game. With 22 sheets, you get 44 paintable pages.

Available in two versions:

• Tuscan Brown cover with Cold Press paper: A lightly textured, forgiving surface with a classic watercolor feel. A great match for loose washes, granulating pigments, and gouache.
• Sicilian Black cover with Hot Press paper: Smooth and crisp, suited to pen, ink, graphite, water-soluble colored pencils, and other mixed media techniques. Great for fine details and tightly controlled paintings.
