Each kit comes with one 5 x 7 Calfskin prepared sheet, one 5 x 7 Goatskin prepared sheet and a small pack of prepared parchment scraps for testing. You'll also receive access to Pergamena's educational resources website. Great for anyone looking to learn more about this amazing material!

Both Calfskin vellum and Goatskin parchment work fantastic for all different painting mediums. It’s all about what you like working on the best!!

A quick introduction to the two types of parchment in this kit:

• Calf (Vellum): Ideal for fine calligraphy and illustration due to its smooth surface, minimal visual interference and historical significance.
• Goat: Offers the same 'luminance' as working with vellum —aka parchment made from calf—  but with slightly more character.  Great for all projects especially ones that want a surface that won't be mistaken for “modern paper” also a more affordable option to Vellum.
