This pigment-based carbon ink is highly coveted by fountain pen fanatics for its water-resistant properties. The luxurious black liquid ink from Platinum Co. of Japan features 4 1mL ink cartridges per box and fits in our Platinum Preppy and Prefounte fountain pens. Please note that while this ink is water-resistant, it may still smear or bleed on certain papers when exposed to a lot of water. To achieve optimal results, pair it with an absorbent paper and allow it to dry for 24 hours before exposing it to water. 

Platinum’s Carbon ink cartridges contain pigment particles that can clog your pen if left to dry out inside. For the best performance, we recommend cleaning your pen thoroughly every 4 to 6 weeks or before leaving it unused for a week or more.
