H145. Barbara Calzolari Special Oblique Holder.
Made to Barbara Calzolari's specifications to create a perfect and serviceable tool for the practice of writing Spencerian Script. The staff is slightly thicker than many similar holders. The flange is precisely cut and formed for the Nikko G nib (nib is included). The beautiful turned, cherry wood staff is finished with a natural transparent varnish; embellished with Barbara's initials in white. Made in Italy. With a pointed nib, use it as an oblique calligraphy pen for Copperplate, Engrosser's, and Spencerian Scripts, and for Modern Calligraphy.

Fabulous holder
One of the best holders I have. I debated for some time over this but then finally splurged and am glad I did. I love the feel of a wood holder and this is perfectly weighted and balanced so that the nib is at the right location; the angle is easy to adjust if necessary.

Game-changer
This is truly a total game-changer. I've tried several oblique holders, including those made by Ziller, Turn of the Century, Chic Oblique, and Luis Creations (which I do love) - but oh my goodness, THIS IS IT.... the angle, feel, and performance is superb. I wasn't able to use Gillott 303 etc nibs, but now I finally can... the angle of the flange, and the perfect weight and feel of the holder, makes these nibs easy and a joy to use. Highly recommended.
