Description

The world of “informal” tools is vast: ruling pens, folded pens, cola pen and narrow bladed ruling pen. The tools are numerous, with many names and the most varied shapes, but they have one thing in common: they allow us to create “messy” and irregular strokes. Ruling pen has the ability to shape strokes and letters, giving them dynamism and expressiveness. It is capable of anything from bold and dramatic to delicate and understated: we will explore its unpredictability to strike a balance between spontaneity and intentionality.

Embrace smudges, splatters and irregularities! This workshop will be focused on how to use this tool and have fun with letters!

Lesson 1
Discovery and curiosities about ruling pen
Look at the various tools: Tips and Tricks

Lesson 2
Warm-up exercises

Lesson 3

Lesson 4
