Come learn the popular and playful Modern Calligraphy! We will go through a series of exercises to develop the skills necessary for using a pointed brush when writing letters. We will cover lower case, capitals, dancing letters, decorative techniques and each week includes a project that uses this playful style. Our capstone project will be a painted sign. For students that love broad edge calligraphy: Brush lettering is a great way to develop greater subtlety with your letters. The pressure and release of the brush builds fine motor skills that support your work with the metal nib.
