I149. Hamburg x PAScribe Calligraphic Inks - Black Broad. 45ml (1.5oz).

These brand new inks were formulated by Paul Antonio with Hamburg Inks in Italy. You'll find that this ink is more pigmented making it heavier with a denser black color. Amazing for practice and final artworks. This ink is formulated for broad nibs only, it will not work with pointed nibs.

Just like the Pointed and Sepia inks, you'll see superfine hairlines and intense thick strokes. This ink allows for a smooth press, lean, and release transition. Depending on your nib size, you may experience a longer writing time without a reservoir. Should you decide to use a reservoir, make sure to widen the gap between the reservoir and nib for better ink flow.

For all of the Hamburg x PAScribe inks, stir for the best results. Do not shake. Paul recommends stirring the ink with a coffee stirrer once a week. Starting from the edges and stirring to the center. The finely ground pigment will stay in suspension for approximately 10 days. Paul prefers to brush on the ink, but you can also dip. Be sure to dip and flick excess ink back into the jar off the nib, then gently dab the top with a cloth.
