These brand new inks were formulated by Paul Antonio with Hamburg Inks in Italy. Upon opening the jar, you'll notice this is not your typical sepia ink. It sings in hues of yellow, green, and brown and the soft color is easy on the eyes. This balanced formula is pigment and dye with a binder. Not only is it usable with dip pens, its safe to use in fountain pens and Pilot Parallel pens.

With a pointed nib you'll have the most delicate beautiful hairlines matches with gorgeous thick downstrokes. As the ink dries your hairlines will dry darker acting like an iron gall ink. When you pass a hairline through a thick shade, you'll be amazed at how the ink flows off the nib and doesn't pull from the shade. This balanced formula creates more volume allowing ink to flow smoothly off the nib and not create droplets.

In the broad nib, you'll find just like with the pointed nib that you have the same delicate hairlines and sharp downstokes. Since you'll be using a wider nib, the color variation will be greater. You will have to adjust how and when you use a reservoir.

Want to use it in a wider pen, like a ruling pen? Be sure to use a paper that can withstand heavily laid ink so it doesn't buckle.

For all of the Hamburg x PAScribe inks, stir for the best results. Do not shake. Paul recommends stirring the ink with a coffee stirrer once a week. Starting from the edges and stirring to the center. The finely ground pigment will stay in suspension for approximately 1 week. Be sure to dip and flick excess ink back into the jar. If you wipe on the edge you will send most of the dipped ink back into the jar.
