Spirited, lively, casual…….this 3 day class will explore the fun side of copperplate script, as we learn how to modify the classic form to produce more “dressed down” alphabets. Shedding the refinement and “dressed up” persona of copperplate, we will nod to the classic, but add some elements to change to a more informal personality. We will start with a review of the classics, and find by changing characteristics such as slant, x-height, weight and shape, we can design multiple alphabet personalities.
