Participants leap into the holidays enjoying the painting process with gouache. Techniques for shading and adding fine detail will be covered with this medieval hart. We will paint from a medieval image from an exceptional and lavishly decorated manuscript that was gifted from Queen Sancha for her husband Fernando I of Leon in 1055. This delicately adorned hart is one of the images in the manuscripts that elegantly and delicately reflects her gentle love. Line-art pattern is provided.

Brushes: Must be round and pointed.
Cardboard backing & Tape for mounting project paper to while you work.
Project Paper*: PA03. Arches Text Wove 8.5" x 11"
Pigments: Assorted Gouache colors
Water Container & Paper Towel for rinsing brushes and catching drips.
Laser Toner Printer - must accommodate project paper choice. Ink Jet (dye-based) printers will react with water media, smears and is NOT Recommended.
Printing Alternative - Take the supplied pattern and project paper to a self-service toner-based printer/copier at a local office supply store to print the pattern directly on to your paper choice.
Optional but Handy: S4103. Hands free magnifiers
