S1005, S1685, S1694 or S1151. Container for rinse water
S632. Protractor
S412 or S931. Painter's tape, drafting tape or artist’s tape, 1 roll
E22. Small (precision) white eraser, such as the round Tombow Mono Zero. Qty: 1
S939 or S1013. Light pad (or light box if you already have one), approximately 9×12” (A4 size) or larger. Qty: 1
S1061. Bow compass (much preferred to standard compass). Qty: 1
** Writing/drawing/mark-making tools **
PL21. Pencil—fine-point mechanical pencil recommended, such as the GraphGear 500 with 0.5 mm lead. Qty: 1
M218. Pigma Micron fine-point marker (in BLACK ink), size 01, or similar *waterproof* marker. Qty: 1 black (additional colors of your choice are optional)
PL28, PL28-S12, PL29, PL05, PL76, PL16, PL16-12SET, or PL77-Basic tone. Colored pencils, colors of your choice. Qty: 1 each of at least 3 bright colors
PL32 or PL58. *Optional*: Watercolor pencils, colors of your choice. Qty: 1 each of at least 3 bright colors
M221, M222, M223, or M224. *Optional*: Pigma Micron fine-point marker (in BLACK ink), size 05 or larger, or similar waterproof marker(s) (for filling in larger areas). Qty: 1 or more
** Inks/paints **
S2013, S1660, S959, S3041, S808, S609, FP107, or S1032 [12-A or 36-color set]. Watercolor paints; assorted non-metallic colors of your choice. (You don’t need a palette unless you get tube paints.) Qty: 1 set
S1000 and S1113. *Optional*: FineTec (a.k.a. Coliro) metallic watercolor, Arabic Gold color, or similar; add an optional storage case (S1113) if needed. Qty: 1 pan of Arabic Gold color recommended; additional colors of your choice are optional
** Brushes **
BR91, BR100, BR81, BR26 BR26-S4, BR104, BR49, or BR80. Small round (pointed) brush(es), size 0 or smaller; size 000 (a.k.a. 3/0) is a favorite. Qty: 1 (or more, of different sizes)
** Papers **
P22, P56, P55, P38, or P80. Grid paper, letter-size/A4 or larger. (Rhodia brand is a favorite.) Qty: 1 pad, or about 20 sheets.
P214. Blank Rhodia paper, or any other plain blank paper of your choice (even copier paper or cartridge paper is fine); letter-size/A4 size or larger. Qty: at least 10 sheets.
PS42, PS47, PA42, PS115, PS01 PA03, PS120, PA110, or PS110. Watercolor paper of your choice, white or off-white, something fairly smooth and non-bleeding (generally Hot Press is preferable to Cold Press or Rough Press). Medium weight (about 140#) is suggested but not required. Qty: At least one (large) full sheet OR 6 letter-size/A4 size sheets (or larger). Some suggested watercolor papers are:
– Arches Hot Press, 90# or 140#; an all-purpose favorite
– Fabriano Artistico Hot Press, 140#; another all-purpose favorite
– Arches Text Wove; a favorite for all drawing and painting projects but NOT for calligraphy
