Eleanor Winters - Copperplate Summer School: Part 1 Intro to the Basics - June 10, 2025

Copperplate Summer School is a relaxing and yet thorough approach to basic Copperplate calligraphy, for novices who have no experience with the hand as well as more experienced calligraphers who want to review some or all of their Copperplate skills.

This program offers a new approach to this classic and elegant style of calligraphy.  The program is divided into 4 individual workshops, some two-day sequences and some one-day, each workshop offering an in-depth look at one area of Copperplate.  Students can choose to focus on one or more aspects of the hand; they are welcome to start at the beginning and follow the complete program, or decide which areas they wish to review and improve. Each workshop will be a stand-alone exploration of one aspect Copperplate.

A two-week break between workshops will allow time for practice and individual critique for those interested in sending their practice work to the instructor.
