Dive into the versatile world of Textura in this hands-on workshop. We’ll start by mastering the formal construction of minuscules and capitals, focusing on the precise shapes, spacing, and contrasts that give Textura its distinctive look. This foundation will help you develop a strong technical understanding of the script. The heart of the workshop lies in pushing the boundaries of Textura. Once you’re comfortable with the basics, we’ll delve into informal variations, lively expressions, and adding character to your lettering—all while working within a framework that keeps your work cohesive and intentional. You’ll experiment with adjusting letter widths, playing with spacing, and altering the x-height to create a more dynamic and personal style. The goal is to retain the concept of Textura while making it your own—balancing control with creativity. This workshop is open to all levels, from beginners to experienced calligraphers looking to refine their approach. By the end, you’ll have the skills to write Textura with both precision and personality. What to expect:

All classes are held in English via Zoom. The workshop will be recorded and available for two months after the final session. A link to the recordings will be provided.
