Evelyn Wong - Beginner’s Introduction to Gilding - June 6, 13, & 20, 2026

This workshop is perfect for those who are trying out gilding for the first time, or for those who want to get a deeper insight and broaden their gilding techniques. We will take things at a slower pace so we can work through each step and procedure together. We will explore different gilding mediums (Gum Ammoniac, Ormoline, Miniatum Ink, Instacoll) and what effects they produce on different types of paper as well as techniques on raised and flat gilding. We will also work through creating 1-2 gilded letters together so you will go away feeling comfortable with making your own gilded pieces.
