Silhouette Cards

Learn how to make a Silhouette card using any lettering style with variations of color and blending inks to personalize your next special greeting. A template is provided to make a 5×7 inch card.

  • Templates (as posted)
  • Detailed Template
  • Simplified Template
  • Key Word(s) (e.g., journey, serenity, namaste, Silent Night)
  • 10-20 word quote to go with key word
  • Card stock (Shelby is using Strathmore Mixed Media, Vellum Surface; 9” x 12” trimmed to 8 ½” x 11” inches)
  • Envelope for 5x7 inch card
  • FP67. 6.0mm Parallel Pen to letter your Key Word
  • FP67, FP68. Other sizes parallel pens filled with ink 2 colors you like for blending (e.g., blue & pink or yellow & blue, etc.)
  • FP69, FP70. Pilot Parallel Pen Cartridge inks. You can use whatever works with your paper. Parallel pens can be dipped into inks.                               
  • M82. Sakura Pigma Calligrapher 01 - Black                       
  • M96. Glitter gel pen (not metallic)                       
  • S417. #11 X-acto® blade with sharp point                          
  • Decorative sticker                            
  • S270, PL38, E13. Metal Ruler, Pencil, Eraser
