Small Screw-Top Dinky Dip

Item Code: S934

Details

S934. Small Rectangle or Square Dinky Dip, with 4 screw-top vials.

These mini inkwells allow you to see your nib as you dip into the ink, allowing you to easily control the depth. They are especially well-suited for pointed pen. Each has four plastic vials, four screw-tops, and an unfinished wooden base. The screw-tops seal the vials tight for transporting or storage (you should keep the filled vials upright). Vial inside dimensions: approximately 14mm dia. x 20mm high. (These are larger than the vials for our regular small Dinky Dip, now called "Flip-Top Small Dinky Dip.")

Choose your base shape:
Rectangle 1" x 4"
Square 2.75" x 2.75"

See S935 for refills.

If you prefer a vial with a flip-top, please see our Flip Top Dinky Dip, item S852.

If you prefer larger vials, please see our Jumbo Dinky Dip, item S853.

S934. Small Screw-Top Dinky Dip
Dec 9, 2015  |  By Annie
I just made an order this past month requesting the Dinky Dip inkwells. Not only did my order get here earlier than I expected, but this product is a delight to work with! No more dipping my nibs into the ink too deeply! My pen holders look clean and dipping your nib into the right amount of ink speeds up the writing process! I can't say enough about how great this product is! PS. It's also great for travelling. The screw-on caps are easy to take off and they seem to keep the ink INSIDE quite nicely (I wouldn't push my luck by tipping them sideways or upside down in my carry bag.)

Can't recommend highly enough

I teach beginning metal leaf workshops, and have had a heck of a time finding small liquid-proof small containers to hold paint or adhesive size..typically, containers don't seal properly so that paint or size seep out; or containers (usually flip top) are so hard to open that paint or size comes flying out. Not so with the small screw-top dinky dip containers...they're perfect for storing and using ink for my own personal calligraphy projects, or for providing very small amounts of paint or adhesive size for students during workshops.

I'm new at calligraphy and love these little jars. They are just the right depth for dipping my pen and not getting the ink too high up the nib. The wooden base holds them with just enough tension yet the jar can be removed easily so it can be covered and shaken when the ink settles.q35i
