Create beautifully decorated letters that bring words to life. In this class, Cheryl Tefft will guide you through her process for designing and painting an ornamental initial inspired by historic manuscript traditions and adapted for contemporary use. You’ll explore layout and design considerations, learn how to build decorative elements around your chosen letter, and apply techniques for adding vibrant color, gold accents, and fine detail. Cheryl will demonstrate how to combine classical forms with personal creativity, resulting in a finished piece that can be framed, gifted, or incorporated into larger calligraphic works
