Description

What happens when a garden becomes a world of letters? Step into Inner Garden Letters with Marina Soria, a five-session online workshop where calligraphy, memory, color, and imagination come together to tell your story. Inspired by Marina’s 2019 visit to Monet’s gardens at Giverny and her exploration of his later garden paintings, this workshop invites you to discover new ways of expressing emotion, mood, and memory through lettering and artist books.

Together, we’ll explore:
• Creating original alphabets inspired by nature
• Experimenting with watercolor, gouache, and pastels
• Transforming words into personal works of art
• Playing with abstraction, paper cutting, illustration, and simple pop-up bindings
• Exploring the possibilities of calligraphy and artist books Perhaps you remember a garden from childhood, the scent of a favorite flower, a place where you once wandered—or a garden that exists only in your imagination.

- Bring those memories with you. Let them grow into letters, colors, and stories that are uniquely yours.
- Recordings available for 90 days after the final session
