Description

If you are: -- relatively new to the study of calligraphy, or -- interested in calligraphy but not sure whether you are up for taking multi-week classes with homework, or -- interested in decorated/illuminated letters, or – interested in getting a sort of bird’s-eye overview of the world of calligraphy and illumination, or -- you wish there was a class you could send your friends/relatives to so they could better understand what you love about this art form... Here's a *FREE* introductory class that covers all of those bases! We cover a little history of calligraphy, with a demonstration of a variety of styles and tools, a peek at a variety of different calligraphy projects, and the opportunity for students to create their very own decorated letter in class! NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED. The class is being offered twice in May 2023. Choose from either of the two sessions: Session 1: Monday, May 1, 6 pm to 9 pm Eastern Daylight Time: for more information or to register for this session, go to https://www.eventbrite.com/e/598072961327 --OR-- Session 2 (same class, different time): Tuesday, May 16, noon to 3:30 pm EDT: for more information or to register for this session, go to: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/598805271687 Supply list: If you don’t want to create your own decorated letter in the class, you don’t need any supplies except any note-taking materials you might want. However, if you would like to follow along and create a decorated letter, you will need the supplies listed below.
